• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Reflection/Shine mod for CFS3?

The archive

Hi Nacht,

I'm just revealing how long ago it was since I looked! I suspect it was several rebuilds ago that an archive of old threads was available here at SOH.

I'm glad I saved some of them in hard or soft copy when I found them useful.

Great stuff David, thanks for posting those old threads..very useful indeed.
Got any other goodies like that tucked away? :)

A very real shame that so much knowledge like this has been lost, would love to have been able to get into this page which is mentioned in those pdfs.: www.isoliti4gatti.com/shine.htm

At least Nigels knowledgebase thread is going to be a good step in the right direction. :salute:

I'm going to attempt to trans-scribe these into the forum if that is alright with everyone. I need to work on my typing skills and this beats doing something that no one will ever use. Let me know if anyone has an issue with it.

Please do! It's too good to waste - straight into the Knowledge Base!

Hi Pat, no doubt there is plenty of good stuff its simply a matter of reading the old docs and deciding what is worth posting. I am seriously considering posting a thread by Oki to the knowledgebase - he talks about how to set up the effects.xml in alphabetical order. This is very useful when wanting to import a batch of effects and wanting to avoid double-ups.

cheers,
D

Grief, David, you're not kidding!

Although I understand that when there are two entries under the same name, it doesn't cause trouble. It just also may not cause your effects to show...
