Reg's Hanger

JRTHEROD6768

SOH-CM-2025
Try downloading from Reg's site and goes to mrjmaint to download but it doesn't download. It worked 3 days ago, now it don't. Any help[ ?????? as to why....

I took the trouble years ago before mjrmaint to download just about everything from GC and Reg's Hangar, so if anybody wants anything in particular, tell Scott - Sixstrings5859 on here - and I'll have a look. He knows how to get hold of me when I'm not visiting SOH that often.

I've just b\tried to recover anything online mrjpaint and related sites such as regshangar, but even the wayback machine doesn't have anything useful as the sites are completely taken over or no longer in exorbitance, so the only chance is grabbing stuff from others. What in particular are you looking for?

Active Non-SOH CFS3 Sources (as of 2025)

1. Simviation (CFS3 section)
  • 🔗 https://simviation.com/1/browse-CFS3-5-31
  • Hosts many legacy aircraft, effects, and utility tools that disappeared from other sites.
  • Notably includes older AvHistory aircraft, repaints, and third-party missions.
  • File dates run from 2003 → 2019. Some duplicates, but still a deep archive.
2. FlightSim.com (CFS3 files)
3. Archive.org (Internet Archive mirrors)
A goldmine for long-lost material if you know what to search for:

Search termWhat you’ll find
AvHistory CFS3Original 1% / 1%_BoB aircraft, weapons, damage models, plus mission sets.
CFS3 addons site:archive.orgOld Netwings.org and Groundcrew mirrors.
Regshangar CFS3Partially captured Reg’s Hangar snapshots (HTML mostly, some small zips survive).
CFS3 toolsA few mission-builder guides, AirEd, and XDP editor utilities.

4. Pat Pattle’s “CFS3 Repositories”

  • Hosted on OneDrive, linked through various forum posts (not just SOH).
  • Contains repackaged Reg’s Hangar and Beaubrummie aircraft with updated .xdp and texture folders.
  • The links circulate under search terms like “Pat Pattle CFS3 archive” or “Pat Pattle OneDrive CFS3.”
  • They’re safe and actively maintained as of 2024–25.
5. CombatACE (CFS3 subsection)

  • 🔗 https://combatace.com/ → Search “CFS3”
  • Sparse, but hosts some repurposed ETO, MAW, and PTO add-ons, plus screenshots and tutorials.
  • Worth checking for historical mission text files or community tool links.
6. GameFront (Legacy File Database)
  • 🔗 https://gamefront.online/ → Search “Combat Flight Simulator 3”
  • Contains a few mirrored mods (often renamed or re-tagged from older networks).
  • Check each download’s description; many are preserved from pre-2008 filefront mirrors.
7. ArchiveTeam / BlueMaxMirror
  • An independent archival effort hosting large sets of old CFS3 mod packs (especially ETO/PTO/MAW installers).
  • Usually referenced in Reddit and old modding Discords; can still be fetched via Archive.org or torrents.
  • Example tag: “ETO_CFS3_BlueMaxArchive.zip”

Yeh...but you loved it! ;)

I don't know why it's just not all uploaded to here? Greg (Seacondor) is still contactable, and Mathias and John (Bravo/4) here at SOH, who were most of 'The GroundCrew', can be asked for permission. I'm sure they would say yes and then it's safe and accessible instead of having to bother individuals.

Cheers

Shessi

Some of the Groundcrew models are explicit in their release conditions that they are not to be re-uploaded anywhere else, which would include SOH. Full permission would be needed before we could host these here. It seems a hard line to take, but I’d be interested to hear what actual Groundcrew members would say about this. The ball is in your court, gentlemen!

In 2014 Andrew "Rami" Talbot obtained permission from Groundcrew to upload their CFS2 packages to this site for inclusion in his missions:

Permission from Groundcrew

General permission for uploading GroundCrew products has been given, provided all readmes are included and the products are not sold for profit, uploaded to a for-profit site, or the uploading party claims ownership of the ship model(s).

I make no such demands or stipulations.

"Rami"

I think I've got most of the CFS3 stuff, so I'll start uploading soon.

This is rather good news.

I've uploaded the Groundcrew CFS3 aircraft and ships from my collection. Are there any other CFS3 GC downloads?

A number of the aircraft and ships don't have accompanying pictures. If anyone has screenshots for those, please post them on this thread.

Cheers,
Kevin

Oh yeah, those were the days when we made a big fuss about our own achievements, LOL.
Go ahead, no objections as far as my models are concerned.

Thanks Mathias, I've assigned the Bf 110G to you. Greg Law doesn't have an account here. If you would like to create an account in the name of Groundcrew, that would be great. At the moment, "NMG" is the author of your team's work.

Greg Law does have an account here if I remember correctly, he’s seacondor.
