Released: The Milviz Corsair

None of those links hold any particular historical credibility (i know, often that is all we got). We have many pictures of camouflaged faa corsairs in the same serial range showing the overpainted older roundels. 136 was not delivered with the bpf bar roundel, to my knowledge so were all camouflaged faa corsairs delivered first with standard eto c1 roundel, then overpainted with several generations of eas indies /pacific fleet roundels. Actually many of the FAA Corsairs in the pacific had first served in the ETO and then followed the carriers to the PTO. Many had also seen considerable more use and flight hours than their USN brothers (the British did not have the service "tail" to swap out the aircraft for service as the USN had). It was first very late that the bpf got new corsairs directly from usn stocks.

Its your paint, just some friendly inputs :)

Tri-Color Scheme is ready also.

I know, most of this was A and C version, D only with old kind of frame of canopy but why not? :- ). Preview.

Any chance they'll produce it for FSX?????????

Many asked about this. Unfortunately no according arrangement (for FSX is an old version of Corsair from Aircraft Factory). For P3D version Corsair was improvement very much (outside, inside, FM, TacPack, loadout, manual ect.).
BUT P3D (especially v4) is a lot of better sim than FSX. I said "bye, bye" FSX/P3Dv3 3 monts ago and Im very happy with v4. Its the best version of FS series on market now.

It is if you don't mind the compatibility issues. But not everybody is ready to let go the great addons that won't ever be made 64-bit.

alpha charlie, just a note, the Milviz FG-1D is not just for 64-bit Prepar3D v4, it is also works perfectly in any version of Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D.

It really looks great, YoYo! Is there any chance in repainting the prop hub too - the entire prop hub should be painted flat black (like the prop blades) on this and most FAA Corsairs. I personally think it would really put the finishing touch on it.

(Note in this photo of another Corsair from the same Squadron, from the same time period, there appears to possibly be some remnants of red-doped fabric patches around the gun ports. Also note the style of the numeral '1'.)

Although an artist's depiction of BuNo.76663 may depict the prop hub painted blue, it should be/was originally actually painted flat black too (and it will look even better).
