Whew... Well it all looks good, I had to fix up some of the texture calls a bit and the contact points are a little off but I can live with that!

Wow! I'm impressed, what a AWESOME flight sim!!

I am very impressed. :)
The team did a killer job I love the trees! The clouds and water and land ..the buildings...

But best of all, the Flight model is a lot better, My plane is flying better at 100% and is a bit of a hand full in rough weather, very goood!!

So Fsx-Sp1-Sp2- Accel-ST supported! P3D 4.4 Supported! P3D V3 Supported! P3D V5 Supported!

I'm going for a beer, wife is happy...lol I'm relieved that I don't have to tell her 3 more months dev...That would have landed me out with my dog Copper in the dog house and he don't like to share!

Here are a few screenies!

Great stuff, Thomas! Thanks for sharing.

I have an issue where P3D ctds after loading the scenario. Must have something to do with the graphics card. No beer for me yet :)

I had a few issues with my graphical settings as my computer is made to build games and not really play them. If that makes sense, My quad's don't like playing games very much hehe. But they sure build models well...
It took a few setting changes but I got it working with min anomalies and looks great! It is becoming more and more a real simulator, I don't know how many releases from now where add ons wont be a option but for the next few years we are safe. And we have good ol fsx as well. :)

There are more 3rd party dlls in this sim then you can shake a stick at!

lol

My predicament was self inflicted (my wife would quickly add "as always") because I ticked the box for the enhanced graphics / beta function. My GTX 970 is not up for such tasks anymore. It also has less than a GB vram left. I guess it is time for a new graphics card.

Other than that, I'm also pleased!

Cheers,
Mark

I'm curious to know what you were flying? I get CTDs with the F-35, but so far other default aircraft (e.g. F-16) are OK.

I haven't tried copying over any A2A planes yet, but all of my Carenado planes work just fine. Orbx was a seamless process, just time consuming. I also have Air Hauler 2 working with no issues, just point to your installation in the options menu in AH2. Now we just need some real weather...

Did you copy or integrate the ORBX stuff manually? The ORBX tool seems not to be up to V5 yet.

Cheers,
Mark

My Orbx tool automatically updated itself this morning to version 4.1.6. It was just a matter of choosing P3Dv5 as the simulator and then installing the add-on's that I own. You may need to check your settings in Orbx Central to be sure you're automatically updating.

You can scrub you video card ram. There are a few utilities for free that will scrub and overclock your video card and its ram. Your card is more gaming then mine so it should be recoverable.

I just suffered a CTD with the F-35, got an error message saying my graphics card, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 quit working. ???? Was the first time sim loaded. About 15-20 minutes in.

Loved the solid frames, locked at 30. Everything was first load default. Flight model much better.

Thomas, definitely waiting on that Aeronca!!! Looks great. :applouse::applouse::applouse:

I don't get any messages, but I suspect it is my GPU (GTX 1080ti 11Gb) causing the CTD. I use MSI Afterburner to show how much it is being used and it is regularly at 97% (though loads of free memory, so that isn't the issue). That doesn't leave much headroom until it quits!

It does seem to make a difference which aircraft I fly (e.g. F-35 causes CTDs for me, the TTA much less so) and whether I have recently re-started my PC.

All of this is with the trueSKY Beta on (I wish LM would simply call it that!).

Andy

Update: My CTD appear to have been caused by using unlimited FPS. With a limiter in place (30 FPS) everything is rock solid. There is something about unlimited frames which causes the GPU to trip (in my case it isn't the VRAM... I only hit ~4Gb on my 1080ti, specs in my sig below). With the limiter in place it behaves and I can (so far!) fly whatever I want, as fast as I want, as low as I want with loads of autogen and fabulous skies. This is outside of VR though, which is my next test...
