I will never forget and I think it is important that we all never forget.

Only time in my career loaded all 18 aircraft with live ordnance, all on 5 minute status. Never thought it would happen on our own soil in our own backyard. Always had 3 or 4 aircraft on alert or 6 or 8 ship deployments, but never all 18 loaded for "Bear". Had this sad sick feeling that nothing would ever be the same.
