new old cfs vehicles

I will be uploading a revamp of some cfs1 vehicles with and without drivers and passangers all I have to do is info discription and mdl. The work will be continuing.

I downloaded Jagdfliegers CFS 2 Mission Support Package and CFS 2 MISSION BUILDING MEGA PACK.

Where can I download sbx_xxxx models from?

Many thanks,

Robert John

WINNAH !

Exactamundo, Mr Fibs ! :salute:

Xavier created these vehicles in a co-operative effort with Silvia B, thus the SBX identifier !

Remodeled cfs1 vehicles with damage drivers and passengers uploaded

I just uploaded my vehicles.

They look like the old cfs1 vehicles but have damage models, drivers and passengers. They are low-poly.

If you like them please let me know, I hope to continue the library and put the rest of the vehicles in and some that look like the ones in cfs3 and from pictures from the net.

If there are any one that can help make texture sheets for vehicles not seen in the sim I can do with some help.

Replacements?

Please correct me if I make a faulty assumption. It looks as though these vehicles were not meant to directly replace the old CFS1 vehicles, si o no? Howsomever, the CFS1 vehicles were used in many older campaigns and missions, si o no? If my second assumption is correct then could I not give the new files the same name as the originals, thus upgrading my older missions and campaigns? I have not tried it yet so I have probably missed something here, but it seems like that would be the best thing to do with the talented Mr. Robert John's new files. :ques::iidea::ques:

Forgive me if I seem ignorant, but I am not a scenery person. I think I may have just found the problem. You cannot delete the existing vehicles bgl file and replace it with the current one, right? If not, how far off are we from being able to do so? . . . and is this project in the works Robert John?

They are not direct replacements you need to keep the original librarys. It will be wrong and would be impractical to do so. You can use them in older missions/scenery, but older missions/scenery will need editing.
The file names are built into the bgl. All files can be edited by using the tools available. Information about this is available on the web, but not recommend to change names in bgl files.
Most editing I do is using notepad.

Thanks Rober John!

I use a lot of the older CFS 1 vehicles in my little home made missions and adventures in CFS 2. These will be a big improvement and will definately enhance the immersion factor.
