Renault power for 2018 McLaren, Honda switch to Toro Rosso

Now all the cards are on the table face side up the reports are confirmed and not just rumors..........:encouragement:
Be really funny if STR-Honda ends up kicking some serious arse.
:biggrin-new:

Some creative writing as well: Abiteboul acknowledged Sainz will remain contracted to Red Bull: “I would like to thank Helmut Marko for loaning Carlos to us for this period.”
Loaning Carlos to Renault?
He (Sainz) must be feeling warm and fuzzy knowing he's just a bargaining chip.

Yes Panther I owe you an apology.

It seems beyond belief, that when Honda has failed miserably on all counts, that another team would even consider them and even more incredible that mclaren would then choose renault who have failed miserably with Red Bull/Torro Rosso.

I look forward to seeing the result.the rumour now is that Porche may buy Torro Rosso so then what happens to Honda!!!!!!

Cheers Chris

Porsche will not come before the new engine rules are introduced in 2021. By then, if Honda has become competitive enough they will power Red Bull (this is part of the recent deal). If Honda is still far behind at that time they might leave by themselves anyway.

Like I first said when this so-called "fake news"
:a1310: first came out.....
Toro Rosso has nothing to lose - and for the first time in their career, they will be a factory engine team!
