Repainters tribute....

Looks like the Alphasim one to me Huub.

Is it a default repaint for the Alphasim GeeBee? As I would like to take a look at the alpha's. I wonder how the painter did the alphas for the fading checkers and brushed aluminium.

Cheers,
huub

Help and advice from others, both personal, and in articles is what gave me my lift... from two years ago, this one...

So thanks to those that helped me grow, even those that didn't know you were helping.

Beautiful shots DVJ! Who's GeeBee is that and who did the repaint? This repaint contains a few tricks I would like to learn....

Cheers,
Huub

AlphaSim's Gee Bee R2 repainted by Pierre Lehereux - sometime in 2008.

found on AVSIM. Do a file search on Pierre Lehereux, FSX repaints. All 3 repaints in the zip file.

Thanks! And as often, it was much easier than I had expected...... Just another trick I must try not to forget!

Here are a couple that took me ages to do

And they turned out nicely.

(I tend to stay away from overly artsy paints for that reason. Merely painting complicated logos, like Continental's is already tedious enough.)

CaptainSim's model?

Perhaps it doesn't look so special to you, but this is one of my favourite repaints. Its Ant's Tiger in a skin by Jeansy

I have to admit that I'm a bit lazy with repaints. Not that I don't like them, on the contrary! I just love to watch beautiful screenies here and I also download them somewhat. It is just that I usually spend so little time outside the cockpit view that when it comes to installing repaints, I sometimes just don't bother. But keep'em coming, I love them and I give here big and sincere thanks to everyone producing them :applause:

Here are couple of shots from a while a go, a repaint for A2A P-51D (in Prepar3D), that I like a lot, "Never Miss". Enjoy!
And now that I mentioned these, I probably have to install some of my favorite repaints back (reinstalled my sim few weeks back and I'm missing many of my addons still) :wiggle:
