• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Reshade 5.01

For those of you who might be using Reshade, a new update has just been released. (It's been over a year since the last update.)

There was an issue with the initial 5.0 version that prevented installation with AnKor's Shader enabled CFS3 (d3d8 game running in d3d9). That was corrected with 5.01.

The default installation of 5.01 is not entirely compatible with AnKor's self-shadowing, in that it adds a Depth check module that disables his shadows.

This can be corrected by unchecking that add on, and restarting the game.

This adds a new entry to your Reshade.ini file.

If you want to avoid the need to restart CFS3 that one time you can manually add the entry right after you update Reshade to 5.01

Is it worth it to get the new update ,or should i stick with the older version ? i don't use many effects with it already. Thanks for any advise . Regards,Scott
 
He's made some code optimizations to reduce the hit some of the shaders cause, but I don't notice a difference with the ones I'm using, so you probably don't need the update.
