REX for FS9

I have been eying this for some time. Does anyone have any experience with it? If so, would you recommend it?

You should, absolutely, get it! I bought it earlier this last summer and it has made a world of difference in my FS9 experience. I wish that I had purchased it long ago.

Most of the REX for FS9 cloud sets are near photorealistic. It is pretty amazing how much better they are than the stock FS9 clouds.

The other payware product I have is GE Pro II which is as much of a leap as REX is, but in ground textures. Both products are exceptional and make FS9 almost a different Sim. Its amazing what the FS9 engine is capable of when HD textures are added.

Well I bit the bullet, and the textures are nice. But what I am finding is that the weather engine for REX don't seem to load. I don't know if I have my setting correct or not, but if I try to fly out of KDEN, the weather engine still sees my plane as Tacoma Washington.

Without FSUIPC, there's no communication between the Sim and outside applications such as add-on weather - even if they're located inside the FS9 installation. Look for "FSUIPC 3.999z9" over at Pete Dowson's Page. Run the installer to get the unregistered free version, which should be all you need. You can pay for a registration license to unlock more advanced features, but they're usually not required for situations like this.
