REX, UTX: USA & Europe, FS Global 2010

I'm looking to get Real Environment X, Ultimate Terrain X for both USA & Europe and possibly Pilots FS Global 2010. Will there be any overlap with UTX and FS Global? Any frame rate degredation? I currently have a few MegaScenery products in addition to Aerosoft's Mega Airports for several cities. Frame rates are down, but the scenery is amazing and realistic, so I can live with lower frames. Any comments, suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

No. All of those products that you listed do different things, minus megascenery.

They manage to do it without affecting FPS much too.

My experience with Ultimate Terrain X is that it can impact frame rates. Using extrusion bridges instead of flat bridges, moving traffic, minor roads, and night lighting effects can have negative impacts. It is a great product and for each option it gives you a graphic scale representation of the expected frame rate impact. Nick Needham has a nice set up guide for UTX. I followed it and found that the roads looked far more realistic using his guide.

Nick's FSX set up guide, the UTX stuff is near the end of the post.

Thanks, stansdds. I'll definitely use that set-up.

Also, if the afore mentioned addons are purchased, will it make a difference on which to install first?
