• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

RFN Etendard IVM/P

Check Daube's screenshot and compare it to mine. The cockpit appears softer. Also, fake HDR glow on the attitude indicator. I don't like that.

The "soft" picture effect is due to my own antialiasing settings, not to the HDR.
But yes, the glowy instruments are due to the HDR. I love it because the colors look better and the readability remains the same.
The P3D default HDR is too dark. On the french forums I could find some "tweak" to make the HDR colors brighter and I'm still using that.

Be interested in that. Link?

Ah, in fact they refer to a topic on avsim as main source, so I'll post that link instead :)

For me, this has really changed the HDR in P3D. I wasn't using it before, because the picture was too dark.
That tweaked HDR coupled with SweetFX really improved the picture in my P3D (2.4).
I'm still far from what I was getting in FSX with the ENB "Sunlight" mod from the REX forums, but at least I got a bit closer.
