RFN F-8 Crusader is out!!

Can anyone explain the wing leading edge droop? the checklist mentions cruise settings among others.
I don't know why but it is very difficult to get more than mach 1.2 or 1.4 out of it and I was wondering if it was a LE droop issue.
I see no control for them.

The leading edge droop is a function of the wing incidence. On the Crusader there was only two positions for leading edge or flaps -- all or none.

Another small bug with engine smoke : When at 50% throttle, brown smoke puffs
appear at 3 o'clock of aircraft at sea/ground, apart of engine'sd echaust, about 800m away of pilot.
Specially visible when you fly very low like taking off from carrier and make a left turn.
They also cause some FPS drop (FSX).

the lascars are back in town, and ready to fly !

Sent to test . job done!

Good morning everyone,
the repaints by Nastybeats are available on the Royale French Navy website: http://royalefrenchnavy.restauravia.fr/RFN-Creations.htm#Avi
Cheers,

Stéph.

It's the first time I obderve such a detail in a plane : When you accelerate or under G load, pilot's figure
is pushed back against his seat, while when decelerate or under negative G's , pilot's body moves forward
dew to G forces. Nice touch RFN !

I have noticed that also! Haven't pushed it enough to observe if the pilot's vision will go dark due to G forces. I have a coupe of aircraft that
will do that!:dizzy:

Sure it will. That is a function of the sim. Check under Options -> Realism -> G-Effects or something like that.

I have all of my G effects sliders maxed out! I guess I just haven't pushed the Crusader hard enough. Will give it a run for it's money tomorrow:encouragement:

It's usually a checkbox, not a slider setting.

In P3Dv4: "Options -> Realism - Special Effects - Visualize G-effects" checked will make things go black in high maneuvers.

In FSX: "Aircraft -> Realism Settings - Special Effects - G-effects" checked will make things go black in high maneuvers.

Hope this helps.

OK, it's checked! Has been all along:wavey:

Yep, it did it! It started the blackout as I pulled out of a steep power dive and added a banking turn.

Thank you for the quick response
I am trying to figure out why I can get no faster than Mach 1.2 in level filight

OK, you might have gotten an answer even quicker if you would have said that first.

What altitude and fuel load are you using?
