Ride with the Blue Angels?

He is so fortunate that he did not aspirate that chewing gum and choke to death. Most of the videos of people getting a ride with the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds usually show the passenger passing out and/or vomiting somewhere during the flight. I think there was a young woman who was planning on a military aviation career who didn't pass out and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. also survived without passing out or becoming sick. How would I fare in such a ride? I'd probably spend the whole ride unconscious, but only after blowing chunks and soiling myself! Aerobatic pilots are a special breed.

believe it or not, the unlimited class aerobatics style aircraft are actually easier to deal with physiologically than fighters. What ends up really getting you with fighters is the sustained g's. I'm different than most people; my tolerance goes up WAY high, but only with frequent trips to the gym and flights. If I let my fitness suffer, or I haven't flown in a month, I'm going to feel sick. I'm so envious of the guys who can step right in and never fel sick at all. I sometimes fly circles in my local practice area to rid myself of the shaky stomach and general down feeling before I attempt to land or continue aerobatics.

For one thing, Beatty had the breathing all wrong, he was bound to pass out. Junior is used to high G loads, besides he laughed his way all the way through the flight. Betty was trying some heavy breathing at first, don't work, you gotta take short deep breaths and force them down like you staining to poo.

I have never sustained high G loads for long periods of time in a high-performance jet, but I had a friend who owned a Stolp; man that was one good roller-coaster for short G loads like tigisfat speaks of.

I doubt it. NASCAR is pretty extreme, but I highly doubt NASCARs go through what most would consider high g loads, (5 or more)

I think the maximum a NASCAR driver feels is about 3 G and that would be on the high banked super-speedways.
