These men were truly members of the greatest generation of Americans.

They contributed much more than their war efforts to the American society as a whole.

Rest in Peace Gentlemen, Rest in Peace.

What's wrong with 2014 and the beginning of 2015? They are lethal for WWII vets, we already saw so many of these announcements!

May they rest in peace, thanks to them the world's freedom was increased. I only hope their spirit will survive and triumph over all of the latest attempts to kill freedom of expression, cultural and religious freedom.

Today's world is facing the same challenge faced in WWII.

Thank you for bringing this to light. I have nothing but my utmost respect and admiration for these men. They have and will continue to hold by unwavering gratitude. It's a true crime against humanity that they were not appreciated in their day, and that they had to wait so long for the recognition they so truly deserved.
