Rising Sun and .htaccess

I installed PTO Rising Sun and now I am getting frequent alerts from my security program that it is blocking .htaccess files because of a BV:Redirector-AE (Trj) infection.
Can anyone give me advise on this?
 
Well, tried doing that and got an Error Deleting File or Folder window that popped up. Inside it said Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source or disk.
 
Hi swpierce, what happens when you run your antivirus programme?

Doing a quick Google, it looks like the .htaccess programme can be hacked so that when you undertake certain actions you get redirected to a site containing malware (in this case the redirection appears to be BV:redirect).

But the strange thing is, this process seems to be something that happens within a website. Are you running a website? Another question is from where and when did you download Rising Sun? It may be that the hosting site is compromised which is a bit of a worry.

Hello. Thanks for the assist.
I downloaded the Rising Sun files from the aussiex website.
I do not have a website up when the alert occurs. I do not host any website either.
When running a search for the .htaccess files in the Rising Sun folder the total number of files found decreases with time. I am now down to 2 files.
I ran a scan on these 2 and Avast found no viruses within.
