Robert's SW Pacific Adventure

The weather is good, crew is sober, the Colonel is happy, the ship is running fine, time to head for Milne Bay. AYGR to AYGN.

After some discussion with the Colonel, actually him yelling and us listening, something about wild drunken parties, we are off to Lae. AYPY to AYNZ.

Down at Gusap. With night falling, we will have a chance for the mechanics to look at our engines and give the crew some rest. Hopefully they will stay out of trouble.

Morning everyone. Time to get going. The aircraft and crew are in good shape, so off to Wewak. GSP to AYWK.

We had a slight altercation with the base MP's. Seems a General lost some cases of whiskey and steaks. Well we dont know anything about that, but it is time to get moving. Next stop, Hollandia. AYWK to WAJJ.

We got word a Colonel keeps calling the base wanting to talk to you know who. Well we have just enough time to refuel, check the oil, and be off for Biak. WAJJ to WABB.

Made it. Weather turned bad, real bad. Now to talk to this Colonel that keeps calling. Wonder what he wants.

Just got off the phone with the Colonel, man I thought those engines where loud. He wanted to know about the General's missing whiskey and steaks, and now missing crates of cigarettes and beer.
We are getting the ship ready for the long run to Davao.

Down safe at Davao. Thunderstorms all the way. The TWI wind gauge was right on the money. Drinks are on me.
Ordered to stay put. Got word the Colonel is flying in here in a day or so. Wonder whats up.

If everything checks out, this is the final leg. Thanks to PRB, Paul, for setting this up. Had a great time.
