Rockwell Commander for FS9 and FSX Released

Rotohub, it was great working with you on this project. Thank you for the excellent model representing the "always wanted to do one" 685. :applause:

And, thanks to Tom Falley who helped resolve an issue with the flight model.

Milton,

It has been a great learning experience, and what can be better then learning from the best. I know that converting the AC3D mesh to a rigged GMAX model was a challenge, but I think it came out nice.
I am really enjoying this aircraft and looking forward to start my cockpit build in the spring. By the way, the suspension/gear setup is amazing.

Thank you Arild; you are too kind.

Just counted my 221 gmax source saves for this project. I usually save every 20-30 minutes (auto-saves every 5 minutes), so that would equate to around 450 hours in the gmax model for my part. Your AC3D hours were probably about the same?

The Flight model, panel and gauge setup, exterior and interior textures and testing added a lot more. So, I will congratulate you on a great effort to create this 685, the only one I am aware of in the MSFS world. :applause:

Enjoying this more and more. Appreciate all the hours that went into it. I have tweaked the glass (zip attached) for a darker look (from the outside) if anyone is interested.

I've built winglets for the FSX Turbo Commander based on this project. The real 685 uses them, so Uncle Milton is more then welcome to them if he decides to add them to this aircraft :)

The early factory built 685 did not have them, they were added later to "reduce" drag. So this 685 is real too.
