• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Roy Chaffin

That is such sad news. He was such a skilled artist. He used to always send me a Christmas Card, usually with a large cat (tiger, cheetah, etc) that he drew. They were outstanding pictures. He was an amazing artist. RIP, Roy.

Don BP;)

Oh my god - I have all his fantastic work inside my hangar! What an excellent artist and person certainly.
Really sad to hear this. Rest in peace, Roy!

This is, indeed, very heart breaking. Roy was such a gifted artist both in the real world and the virtual world. The community has lost a most valuable member and it's very tragic that his health did not allow him to transfer his talents to MSFS. May he RIP and his family gain comfort in knowing he was most beloved in both worlds. God speed to his loved ones. Thank you NC for the update.

I remember Roy and the B-25. I used to get emailed Christmas cards from him too, illustrated with his own art. RIP.

Sad news. But he will be remembered for his beautiful work. And he always will remain in the cockpit from his own B-25!

Sad news indeed.
I too used to get Christmas cards from him,I've been flying his B-25 for years,it's still an absolute beauty and sounds
superb.

Nothing I can add that hasn't already been said so eloquently. Roy's B-25 was a mainstay on my installs for many a year, a true artist as has been said. We are all poorer for his passing.

RIP Roy! I remember downloading his B25 on dial-up. Took all night to get the 100mb file, but of course it was worth it.
