RTW 2017 Race Practice #0.1

Rob, take over. Snow storms here lost power just enough to screw up the flight, crash computer.

Well, that was dismal...:banghead:

100* wind shifts at 100kts on descent. Even a 30 knot buffer + speed brakes couldn't protect the aircraft from overstress

Baton is back at blustery BW-1 (BGBW)

You lose.
Sim went 'click' and froze again. :pop4:
Baton is passed... to whoever can handle it

Odd.. this comp. ran FSX fine until I hooked up the X-52 stick/throttle.. now it is unhappy

MORE pressure to get the new box set up and software loaded:dizzy:..

I thought about taking a jet, but I heard wind shift and though about that benign Tigercat. 1:17 at current speed.

FSX locked up. Was making good time too.

Baton transfer to MD.

I have the baton, BIRK to EGQS, in the SectionF8 F-86E/F RAF. Using FSrealWX.

Currently we've got "thunder-snow" at Rekyavik - and 30 knots of cross wind. Should be fun getting airbourne!

We should do a RTW in only F-86's.
:D

That would be fun.

About 20 minutes out, despite having had about three flame outs along the way (I think each time it switches fuel tank, it flames out). Or else I've forgotten how to fly it properly.

I've picked an airfield with ILS, but I don't see any instruments that are going to display it to me. Ah well, visual approach and GPS only. Thankfully it's a huge runway at Lossiemouth.

Edit: Yes, I had forgotten how to fly it. Now that I've found the fuel transfer switch and drop tank valve, the fuel flow is working much better! :banghead:

40nm out - better drop down and find an RAF airbase.
