If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

RTWR 2012: A Purloined Letter

I can trust in the decency an honor of my fellow pilots not to cheat as much as I can lob an elephant into the orbit of the moon.

If I can speak honestly, I think it a bit unfortunate that this is your impression of the race and its participants. While there have been past events by all teams that have been questionable, I do not attribute these to outright indecency or dishonesty, but to either honest mistakes or creative strategy. One cannot know the mind of another. As in any event, the rules are made to provide structure, but also to be tested and, when violated, enforced.

I, for one, have the utmost respect for my competitors, teammates, and the committee. I certainly would not participate or find enjoyment in the event if I thought everyone participating was less than decent.

This is how I look at it as well. Wouldn't be much point in playing if I thought people were cheating.

I agree 100%.

MD, we've flown together on and off for several years now and I consider you a friend, but I think you're way offbase here.
