RTWR 2013 Open Practice Thread

Tested getting into UT65 in the RB-50.
Long enough if the approach is slow, and safely around the rather imposing hills but NOT at night! :icon_eek:

Rwy is not lit and there are no surrounding lights for reference.

... and... the RB-50 will get out with enough fuel for 1600nm.

Sometimes this is just FUN!

That's the last required airport so off to Florida and the finish line.

The default aircraft list now looks like this (completed aircraft in red). Somewhere between here and Florida we need to put in a 150 Nm default Beaver leg.

Mandatory Defaults

Vickers Vimmy, Ryan Spirt of St Louis, de Havilland dh88 Comet, Curtis JN-4D Jenny, and AirCreation Trike** - 25nm.

Piper Cub*, Lockheed Vega, and Ford Trimotor - 50nm

Cessna 172/182/208, Extra 300, and Mooney Bravo - 100nm

Douglas DC3, Beechcraft Baron 58, King Air 350, Maule M7-260C**, Grumman Goose**, de Havilland Beaver** - 150nm

I have the baton in an RB-50 for a wildcard leg, UT65 to KAAF (or at least that's the direction I'm heading, but it's a long way, and I may need to land short!).
