Bad luck Jeroen but great to see you in here and taking part. 
Brought a tear to my eye...
I remember my first leg in a practice.
I ran out of gas in the P-38 Lightning in Australia and had to ditch.
On my second leg...
Well you can still see bits and pieces of that poor P-38 on the mountainside in Greenland.

I have the baton, YPDN to WAPP, in the stock B737.
About 30 minutes ETA; beautiful day in the Pacifica 737
Down and safe at WAPP; details to follow
I have the baton WAPP - RPMR in the Iris A-7H Corsair II
I am the Wingman WAPP to RPMR in the Corsair II
ETE 30 mins + landing
Baton free at RPMR

...and not required the aborted leg...
on the other hand, you could have been daring, throttled back a bit, stayed high and gone for a zero-throttle & possible dead-stick landing @ RPLI (and become one of the foolhardy heros of SOH)
Just make sure you can manually lower the gear without power and control surfaces still work. (It IS a practice after all :}
