I have the Baton SLTJ-SAZN in the FS9 Default B744.
Second flight, using default aircraft. Unlimited time and distance as stipulated in the rules.

Wingman down at SAZN.

Winds got pretty shifty and had to back off to keep from overspeeding.

The baton is free at SBPV
I knew there was a good reason for keeping FS9 on the laptop.
Smooth flight, late at night. All lovely until the cloud and fog for the last 10 miles over a dark jungle.. sure... normal.
Nice feeling to have something working.

That is exactly why I use FS9 for the race. :) There are more than enough gotchas to get ya anyway; why not eliminate what you can.

Down and safe at SCGZ

Ahh! "get-home-itis' gets a gotcha...

SAVC-SCGZ
Summary: (from Milton's Duenna)
Direct distance: 547.9 nm
but wasn't there a 500nm distance limit? but wait.. what about that wildcard that Dave granted us? well, OK, but then it wasn't 'declared' for this leg. Hmmm..

Whisky and cigars in the Hideout.

Ran right behind you Milton -w- fsrwx, I still believe in this bird.

Hi MD. :)

Do you mean the F4U? Your speed/time was 50 knots slower and 11 minutes longer than the F7F-1.

We had a good tail wind over 55 knots most of the way; it should have been faster.

LOL Rules, smules; we don't need no stinkin' rules ... :)

heh, I might have caught you had the leg been longer- I had 70 kt winds at cruising alt, tho oddly both flights being almost at the same time, you had almost quadruple the tailwind. Hmmm....

My avg GS was 405 versus yours at 357, and 11 minutes is a lot longer on a short flight (that's 10 hours longer in a 36 leg race). The F4U is not a contender and should not be used. The old F7F-300 we used to fly should not be used (use the newer F7F-1 version instead).
