RTWR 2018 Practice Round 1

*I*, that would be me, am going to get totally, completely, wild, weird, and crazy, if y'all don't mind.

I am going to try going West-to-East. I know, it's against all the rules and traditions, but I just have to do it.
Starting my flights all over, my first will be EGPH to EDDK. I will do the correct and proper baton post as soon as I can get going this lovely day. Gimme a few minutes to fire things up...

Pat☺

You might want to start a new west-east practice thread Pat so people don't get confused as to where the baton is. :dizzy:

Roger that!
Will do asap. I don't want anyone else moving into my state. You know, the State of Confusion :biggrin-new: :dizzy:

Pat☺

Edit:
Ok, ok, just for auld lang sine, I'll take ONE last East-West run.

I have the baton at CYCB -> CYZF. David Copley P-38J, FSRealWX Lite.
Let's see if I can stick the landing for a change :D
Pat☺

Whew! Down safe at CYZF.
Duenna to follow.
Pat☺

There ya go!
Lotsa snow. Winds, gusty, as mentioned before, white everywhere. Whatta landing...
See y'all soon!
Pat☺

I have baton. CYZF -> CYVQ (Normal Wells), SOH F7F-3, Default real wx.

Weather is basically "stinko". Are we still going to Korea? Some previous posts now have me slightly confused, a state that is easily induced for me...

At altitude. About 50 minutes out. The weather isn't stinko at all really, just dark... Unless you would call a 50 knot head wind stinko, that is...

Ok, now the weather is stinko. I can't see the ground anymore. I could ten minutes ago. And the head wind is now 60 knots. ETE 0:36.

As far as I know South Korea is still the final destination. Pat was talking about trying to go west to east, using a different thread, as that was Moses' initial intention (blame Dave) and routing would be easier.

As it stands on the east to west route we will have to use a wildcard leg at some point as it is impossible to get from the Aleutian Chain to either Russia (which would leave us stuck again) or Japan given the current 500 Nm restriction on leg length.

Please steam on to South Korea.

***Routing update***

We are allowed a one time air bridge from ATU to UHPP (534nm). Mr Putin signed off with the stipulation that pilots only stop for a quick refuel. No visit to the duty free shop.

From UHPP there will be a jetliner wildcard to any airport within 800nm.

That should cure the tyranny of distance.:encouragement:
