This is for legs going West to East. Just to be different :D
Same rules as the first practice thread.

I'll start: Heading from EGPH to EDDK. Milton Shupe F7F-3 Metal. FSRealWX Lite.
Pat☺

Another reall lousy weather situation. Not as bumby, not as much icing. Crosswind landing, LOW visibility. AGAIN.
Patchy fog, as they used to say when I lived in the Bay Area :D
ANYWHO, the baton is free at EDDK. Take it away...

Well, I learned a very valuable lesson today: Do NOT do flight route planning before my second coffee.
I honestly thought this was a 475 mi flight. Apparently I was mistaken. I do apologize. I will make more careful plans in the future.
On the bright side, it WAS less than 500 miles :D

The baton is free at EPKK.
Duenna to follow momentarily.

OK, Maybe the next carrier can do better planning than I.
Color my face bright crimson...
Carry on (pun intended :biggrin-new: )

Just a heads up.............. if anyone is using the Aircraft Factory P51H in FSX or P3D you might want to take a look at a new thread I started in the 'Hideout' which could be beneficial to you, it's certainly made things better for me.

Baton free at UMGG.

Boy it was dark out there and even though the airport had an ILS there were no VASI lights so the approach was a bit tricky. Greased her in though without a bounce!

I have the baton at UMGG, heading to LRCK, in the SOH F7F-3 Metal, FSrealWX Lite. I had the armorers remove the guns and ammo for this run. Hope it's not a mistake! Oh well, I have my trusty .45 Cal M1911A1!

Is that destination ICAO code correct Pat? That would take us southwest instead of east towards South Korea!

It was the best destination I could come up with within the distance constraints. I may have missed a better one, I am far from perfect. This gives us a lot of possibilities for the next, however.
I am terrible at planning complex routes like this.
At least it wasn't a NE route :D

If there's a better destination, please, let me know. I can either change my destination, or we can cancel this leg, and select a better destination. Let me know :)

I am 40 min out, BTW...
Pat☺

EDIT: Maybe a better way to say it: Best choice I could find giving approximatly the correct direction, in general, but also giving the best range. Does that make more sense?
Pat☺

The baton is down safe at LRCK!
Duenna to follow momentarily.

As I said before, if there was a much better choice for this leg, or even just better overall, please, PLEASE feel free to take it instead. Thank goodness this is Practice for the Race, not the Race. If anyone can take a better leg, direction and range, feel free to throw out this leg and use that. I am always happy to be educated in "How to". :)

Have fun, all! That's the whole point, anyway :D
