Runway Flare pots for L-5 package

In ETO the ACC team provided us with a small metal can. I took the can and filled it halfway with sand and soaked it with fuel. The end result is flare pots that will be used for night operations in the L-5 package.

The small flare pots were quickly and easily extinguished by dumping sand in the can. The smoke from the burning fuel is thin and light gray.

The fires are very small but good enough for takeoff and landings. they burn for one hour.

Steve - this work of yours looks tremendous, just the sort of package that gets my interest, lots atmosphere and detail to soak up. I can almost smell that burning fuel!
