RYAN ST-M-S2 Released

Totally SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! Nice Work Chris! I'm flying this one at work...shame on me!

I have a paint kit done for the wheeled version of the STM. Won't take long to have the paint kit done for the float version....just a few texture sheets that are not common between the two models. Here's a civilian skin that I have nearly done...will make it work with both versions.

Post that baby soon OBIO! Outstanding. Chris this Ryan is really sweet. Darn good flight characteristics too!

Just put the finishing touches on the float plane paint kit...I am pretty sure at least. Have the Lexington Green civie skin done up on the floater STM. Looks pretty nice. Have to make some final adjustments on the wheeled version of the skin...then I will upload both skins. Should be later this afternoon or this evening.

Then onto some more skins for this wonderful plane.

The DeHavilland DH-4 Re-Paints

Dear Mr herring,

I am a big fan of your DH-4, recently I found painting for your DH-4 titled US Post Office done by a genletman (I can not remmenber his name I Apologize) I consider myself very good with re-paints, I followed the instructions for the postal re-paint of your DH-4 Observation FS9 which stated in the re-paint instructions to use...I can assure everyone these US Postal re-paints for your DH-4 will not and do not work, I do not think there has been any corrections on the re-paints so I just like your DH-4 Mail plane in red and white.

Cheers

Casey

Hi Casey

Glad ya like the old girl, I did that model a few years back and still fly it from time to time. Can you tell me where you downloaded the repaint?

Chris

I have the green civilian skin done for the wheeled and float version of the STM. Have a second civilian skin done for the wheeled version...need to make it work with the float version. Once I have that done, I will upload both paints for both versions. Also have a USAAC Blue and Yellow trainer scheme nearly done for the wheeled version. May not be historically accurate to the STM, but that is such a striking paint scheme I just had to do it.

This second civilian paint scheme has a bit of influence from my interest in street rods...interest only, as I can not afford to actually build one. A nice deep red and silver number with a black pin stripe. There is one small area that didn't come out quite right...but it's no big deal unless you are in the habit of flying your sim aircraft from outside and underneath looking up at the bottom of the nose. By the time I found this little glitch I had more time invested in this paint than I wanted to throw away over such an insignificant thing.

I attached two of the WIP screenshots....I deleted them and will post the other two final screen shots.

Still not totally set on the tail. Part of me thinks that the entire tail section should be red...seems a bit busy with the silver horizontals and the silver swoops on the vertical.

I like the way you have it now...very very nice paints!

Dude those skins are awesome. Great job Tim, maybe when I grow up I will be able to paint like you.:wiggle:
