It sure does, because that's precisely the way I do it as well - I don't want something I can't see monkeying around with the innards of my sim. I ALWAYS point an autoinstaller into a temp working folder that receives all the files and lets me pick and choose.
I think what I'll do is manually install the scenery that doesn't call for the dedicated Aeroworx installer first, examine it with a few flights, then make further decisions based on what I see.
