I do not see it listed. Could you please tell me what the address directory where your Aerosoft Updater is located? A screenshot along with that would really be helpful. Thanks. NC
 
I did download the 7zip utility and the Updater file from those links, but I cannot figure out how to use 7zip. I have it installed, but am clueless how to open/install the updater. NC:banghead:

Ok, so I was able to install the Updater files, but when I try to run it, I get the following error code, saying it can't find the updater.dat file, but it is listed. :banghead: NC

Thanks Gary. I will keep on until this is figured out! I wish Aerosoft would just release a new version, or at least make this updating easier. I have never had this much trouble. NC

Well, this is a case where I fixed it. Got the Updater to work, and I have no clue what I did to do so. Either way. Got things updated. Damn, I wish I could still drink beer! NC

I wish you could remember what you did Chief! I downloaded the updater but it says that there are no products installed. I re-run my F-14 installer (also with AV off) and surely it does not install any AS installer. I could post at the Aerosoft forum, just hoping you could help.
 
Just on that as well thinking I had the current F-14X. Removed and re-downloaded, but due to having the CRJ, I already had the AS updater program which will check for updates to the GUI and the installed models. The current F-14 is the version Gary posted.

I "think" what I did which resulted in success was uninstalling/reinstallation of the Tomcat, and then running the Updater. Be sure the Updater is located in the directory that Aerosoft suggests. Hope that works! NC

Dimus, I redownloaded my F-14 Extended installation file from Aerosoft, and even though it had the same date as the file I downloaded in Jan, 2019, it installed the updater this time. The updater was/is accessed in the "Start Menu" under "Aerosoft F-14 Extended-PREPAR3D v4.x/Run Updater"

I let the installer install to it's default folder, in the "documents/Aerosoft" folder. I would rather it had installed to the "documents/Prepar3D v4 Add-ons" folder, as I have that one located on a dedicated drive, and connected by Junction Link.

It should be noted there's no Tacpack or PBR, and the load manager appears to be fairly simple with just a few selected
presets, besides clean.

Anyway, I offer this up for what it's worth. At these prices, I might just pick a couple up. The planes look beautiful from the
screenshots, and there's no other modern Russian fighters around for P3Dv4 that I'm aware of.

Thanks for the heads up and link to the original release post. Great price really, as the UBs have a VC even if its not much. Not sure of the carrier detail, but cool they are included for the "K" models to operate from. Wish Tacpack was added while they worked the payload manager, but that might be able to be mod'd with TMAP. I could retire my freeware Iris Fulcrum port-overs.
