Sally progress

I thought I'd post a progress teaser. I still have to finish the LODs, paint the camouflage, paint a 2d panel. and do the air flight files. It has a VC, but because I really think this will only get used as an AI target, I am not putting a lot of work in on the VC and interior details. Just some basics.

Hi hertzie

There are a couple of reasons for that decision. First as I said, I doubt that Sally will be used for anything more than an AI plane, but also because there is a limit to the number of vertices and polygons that can be compiled in FSDS 2.4. I have the main model, 3 LOD models, VC model, and shadow model all adding up towards that total. Unless I give up a LOD or two, the cockpit needs to be somewhat frugal. Besides which there is not a lot of information on how the real thing looked.

Here's what the VC looks like - instruments yet to be added :

For the cockpit, you can look for my Ki 57 Topsy, the ki-57 was the civil version of the Ki-21

I think, I still have the FSDS2 source files somewhere on my old PC.

I'd be glad to have them, danke.

BTW I am using your Japanese pilot figures for the crew.

That's interesting, I didn't know that the Ki-57/MC-20 and the Ki-21 were related.
Fascinating how many airliners turned bombers. (Ju-52, He-111, SM-73/SM-81, DC-2/B-18, L-14/Hudson and many more)

If you send me your Mail address via Private Message I can send you the files. The zip file is about 45 Mb and contains the latest model (Military version) of the Aircraft (I was a bit surprised by myself). Also, all Texture files with Paint shop pro files (.pspimage)
