I like the effect. I was stationed in San Diego back in the 70s. And good on you for going fishing with your grand dad.
 
hey All, Nice images - I especially like the 2nd and 5th images. A couple suggestions. Way too much haloing in many of them. Watch your compositions - for example in the first pic does your relative really have a pole growing out of his head? A fishing pole in another image. Even the ones I like could use some improvement that you can easily do in your computer. In the second crop some of the foreground. In the fifth level the horizon or does the world really slant there? Photography requires a lot of discipline and paying close attention to what is going on in the viewfinder. It takes a concious effort to say OK Grandpa is in the picture what else is going on? Too many people simply focus on the main subject and forget the rest of what is in the frame. I am not trying to be overly critical and I hope you see what I mean and don't get offended. What HDR software is it? -Ed-
