sandman's SW Pacific Sojourn

That went well - not

Ran the power a touch too high and blew up the engine. Impacted ground on an island about halfway to the destination.

Back to WAMR for extensive repairs and another try.

Very pleasant last leg.

Don't know why the enroute section is invalid. Unless taking a couple of screenshots caused it.

Back to WAMR and try again.

Finally !!! Screenies from the previous flight. A few disasters along the way but it was a blast. Thanks folks.

Thanks smilo.

Flew the last leg with trackir 5 - FAN...TASTIC. Makes such a difference for approach and landing.

I certainly will be back for more events, as time permits.

Regards to all.

Excellent run, sandman! Regarding the flight with the red duenna, we won't count that leg twice, as would be the case if you crashed into a tree on the way. Duenna or otherwise unexplained goof ups are disgarded.

Thanks for the welcome, robert41.

PRB, that's very kind of you to not to count the red duenna leg as extra. Overall, it was a very enjoyable event. Planning the route to take made it even more so. Very well organized. My hat's off to you guys.

Would have liked to have flown a few legs online with some of the guys but circumstances and actual time differential between countries made it a tricky proposition. Hopefully, some of the hurdles in the way will be eliminated in the near future - can't do anything about the time differential - unless some of you relocate to this beautiful part of the world :australia: :icon_lol:
