Saw a V-22 today...

I was in Westminster VT working traffic control and I heard a weird aircraft sound. Like a combination of the local Medivac Helo (DHART 1 + 2 EC-135's) and a moderately loud jet like an early turbojet Lear.

I'm looking around and at about 5,500 feet is a V-22 hauling A$$. Was in and out of audible and visual range in less and a minute and a half. Looked to be heading along the Connecticut river valley. Seemed strange to see one, single ship here in the backwoods of Vermont.

Maybe they were getting in a cross-country after dropping off Obama's dog at Martha's Vineyard.
