Scenery object question

I have never really attempted much with scenery modification/creation until now. You know, it's one of those things that you attempt, lose interest, get frustrated, and then try again.

I am at that point.

Take for example, Deception Pass Bridge, which is just north of NAS Whidbey Island; yet until yesterday, I never could find it. But the default bridge is a poor representation of the real one. I know there are ways to create bridges, but is there a way to even come close to making it look at least similar?

If you are using Instant Scenery, you should have a bridges listing in your list of available libraries. You might be able to find something close in there if you haven't already tried. I replaced the Paul Doumer bridge in Vietnam with one that looked much closer to the real one.

Thanks Jim,

Now this brings up another question. I bought Instant Scenery a long time ago, and have installed/reinstalled many times, along with FS9/FSX. I do have to say the Flight1 process for doing so is fairly easy, and have never had a problem. Kudos to F1 for that!

But, my question is about the "Library Maker" program that comes with Instant Scenery. The mere name of it (to me at least) implies being able to create a scenery object library. I have never been able to do that, if so designed for it. I have hundreds and hundreds of objects for scenery, and none of it is organized.

Is there a way to create a library, where I can more easily find things?

Remember now, I'm an old CPO, and you need to type sloooowly.....and maybe I'll get the idea!!!

If you can't find it ... might be time to learn Gmax ... model it yourself ... :D

or find someone who can.

Oh, I know THAT isn't going to happen. I feel fortunate just to be able to download/install things; let alone actually design anything!!!!!
