Schiphol 1940

Hi Cees,

It certainly does look good.
Cool that he gave you permission.
Only thing you must do is clone and flip the wall in the tower, since from some angels it looks like you can look through the wall from tehe inside out.

Good luck, and keep us posted on the progress.

You mean this Rob? I think it's got something to do with the alpha channel of the glass....

Yep, could be, I don't know, I thought he forgot to make an interior.

btw, I noticed they built a new restaurant in font of the old one, next to the tower, after 1936. So you will have some more work with this building.

Will definitely keep my eye on this project Cees! :applause:

In fact your release of de Kooy made me delete the entire NL2000 scenery and reinstall all your Dutch fields again. BTW did you ever release Texel?

Thanks Ferry! That's exactly what I wanted to ask Cees too.

Cheers,
Maarten

Congrats Maarten!

No, I never released Texel, and I never released Midden Zeeland! There's a few more that I can release. Ockenburg and Buiksloot for example. Tomorrow starts my summer holiday, so I can finish a few bases and release them.

Just an update...

...to let you know I've been busy! That K.L.M. hangar is quit an elaborate structure!

Hi,

I have been visiting the Lelystad aviation museum a few weeks ago and had a look at the Schiphol 1929 model ther e as well - all of this looks terrifically familiar. You are doing a fantastic job. I am really looking forward to this.

Best regards,
Volker

Volker,

The model of the Schiphol 1929 building I used is from Jorrit van Dommelen. I only placed it in the scenery.

Hi Cees,

your modesty honours you, but I am also talking about the KLM hangar that is taking shape. Good work, keep it up. Are you planning anything about landclasses or coastlines? I have a pre-WWII map that covers the northern Netherlands down to s'Gravenhage.

Best regards,
Volker

Hi Volker,

Where needed I adapt the surroundings. That's restricted to the direct environment of the airfield.
