Schmittfire weapons

I have the Schmittfire with conversion to cfs2. It says it can't find weapons on the sim.
does anyone know the weapons pack it requires?

Simonu, The Schmittfire is from Aeroplane Heaven, and it is the CFS2 Conversion in the Warbird Archives under CFS2 Aircraft (British) on Page 16 on the top of the page.

The other bits I don't recognise . Looks like we need to ask ChrisN where the weps are. maybe use the ground crew weps

The vw prefix belongs to Virtual Wings, probably their FW190 weapon pack.

GC is Groundcrew Design Group, but it is not their known weapon pack, whose weapons begin with the prefix wep_gc, but the one that comes with the Bf 110G-2 Zerstörer for CFS2 BETA.

If hunting those files down is not fruitful, perhaps adjusting the dp to match weapons you can find would be an interesting introduction to the "mod factor" that keeps CFS2 going after all these years.

If you learn how to fix this, you will also have learned very useful IT skills.

Do you know how to navigate in the windows file system so that you can find the folder

\..\Combat Flight Simulator 2\Aircraft\AH_Schmittfire_CFS2\

Do you need to set your Tools/Folder Options/View Advanced Settings, UnCheck "Hide Extensions For Known File Types"


Edit Schmittfire.dp file with wordpad or notepad. Make a back up first! "Save As"

Start by trying to sub in a different drop tank.

Once you can see the tank hanging under the plane you might need to adjust the mount location.

Every time you save changes to the DP file you must delete the working version and reload the plane.
Delete the file Schmittfire.CDP
Keep cfs2 running in window mode. In free flight, with the aircraft on the ground sitting next to your workshop hanger,
You can reload the aircraft with a button on the task bar.
