Thanks for asking guys, even if one person thinks I did a good job, then I'm happy. I try to make these pretty cool, even though I'm not a fighter pilot. I've been up in fighters before, but all I know I've read.

The fight's on!! The instructural flight lead enters a high energy climb to merge on the students immediately after splitting up.

The Fallon instructors are some of the greatest fighter pilots in the world. Here, one is displaying a little cockiness as the first student is quickly taken out of the fight.

It doesn't look good for our second Swiss Hornet. This F-16 actually looks angry as it chews up the sky.

One low-angled missile shot, and the F-5 is done.

The F-16N is next. This one is a tight fight, and it turns into a gun engagement.

One good spray across their nose and the F-16N is done.

Headed home as two separate two ship formations!!

Great screenshots and fun read! But you are going to have to excuse my ignorance here... who actually won? :monkies:

Really ,really nice shots...
I wish I had the same eye for snapping shots like that!!!!

Thanks for sharing

It's 2+2, with two hornets versus an F-5 with an F-16N. Right away, one hornet is 'killed', and then the remaining hornet takes out the F-5 and then the F-16.

i looked forward to reading part 2 very nicely done

Well, I was half right:applause:

Funny about how those screenshots with plent of time put into taking them , compaired to those just hit the button screenshots.

Have you tried the MAIW Tyndall QF-4 drones yet? You can easily swap them into your recordings and have a nice little furball. You have options for different load-outs and crew. One caveat, though. You have to have the lights on in your initial recordings, or else the ground equipment and crew ladder will be flying around.

Good stuff and a worthy ending.

By the way, there's no such thing as a cocky instructor, there's just an incompetent student. The instructors are always fighting with one arm tied to their back since they're there to teach and not humiliate. ;)
