Screenshots (FS2024)

I haven't had the time to get properly set up yet or do any serious simming (thankful for the MSFS 2020 keyboard profile option, for the quick play thus-far), but here are a selection of screenshots - all raw/unedited, default '2024 everything. I'm really looking forward to the weekend when I can spend a good amount of time in the new sim. I've read some folks mention that the flight modeling across the board seems more lifelike than MSFS 2020.

Now this aircraft looks amazing. And the water effects look quite good. I fear I simply don't have the wireless bandwidth to stream to my PC. I know someone who is not going to like that blue eithernet cable running across the house from the router. Hmmmm.

Whats the default keyboard command for taking sceenshot?? I just chased a darn Camel out of my PC12's way at YBAS.

I don't suppose you could post the panel from that one?

Sure thing, Tom. Here are some more shots of the Seastar, including of the panel and cabin. I've been absolutely loving flying this thing, and its got some cool features like controllable water thrusters (for water taxiing). The cabin can be loaded with passengers, as shown.

A completely random location on a lake in Minnesota, though it looks like it could be hand-crafted.

Thank you, Jan.

I've been really impressed with the flight models, as well as the improvements made to both the water masking and the detail of the new elevation mesh, noticeable everywhere. The changes made to the trees, grasses and fields (both colors and 3d models), every month of the year, is incredible to see too.

John, I've only made one flight so far, in my local, central Iowa area, using clear weather. I noticed the fields properly depicted the fall colors and vegetation, but the vegetation IN TOWN was still deep spring/summer thick green. Have you noticed any of that?

I've already seen more fauna in the sim than I expected to. So-far I've spotted sheep, cows and horses on my flights around Minnesota farmland.

From my experience, the animals will disperse/run as you fly near them. Also note the hay bales, which appear in some field in the sim during late summer/early fall.

And here are some screenshots from Stanton (KSYN), which is one of my favorite real world airports - a hotbed of glider, taildragger and light sport aircraft, and which also served as a training field during WWII. It amazes me to see that Asobo have added a slew of hand-crafted detail to such a little airport, located out in the middle of nowhere - including a very detailed depiction of the uniquely-designed main hangar, glider trailers, cars, benches, grass runway markers, etc. This is all default '2024.

Yeah, in my Majerle shots above, all the flowers in the grass are new and make it feel so much more alive. Also, that Huey is AI that appeared in the open parking spot.

I have noticed that too, but I believe only in areas of photogrammetry so-far. It has been one of the few disappointments.
