The highlands and islands are particularly good.

Larry, it is the Simshed Westland Wessex, formerly built for FS9 but converted to P3Dv4.5 for personal use.

Today I got out the freeware F9F Panther and was dissatisfied with the look of the cockpit. So i decided to try the F9F I bought from Vertigo Studios in 2013 then for FSX. I directed the installer into P3Dv5.3 and that's the result. She flys an everything seems to work.

those airfields look awfully close together. I'll bet it causes a bunch of clearance issues.

No problem with those airfields. The one the left is abandoned and replaced by the one on the right i assume which is KNBG.
The sat scenery is from Aerosoft New Orleans, the matching KNBG is my work.
