too much time on my hands - laid off a month ago after 20yrs at the same firm and prospects for
a fitty year old man in this economy are not optimistic...even if I remain so.

Times like these we appreciate our little diversions, Yes?
 
My God!!! That F4U does not have a belly tank on it. Did I miss something? Is that the Aircraft Factory model? Perhaps I've just never figured out how to release the tank.

yes it is the AF Corsair - look for the tank release switch on the panel, lower left hand side....

Nemeth Designs and using Helitraffic 2009 addon. Trying to get the hang of the program. I been trying to create some Huey traffic going from fire bases to hot LZ's.

Good luck job hunting. I was laid off in April 2009 but fortunately for me, after 5 months my previous employer asked me back.

Hang in there---I too was laid off from a company after 15 years of dedicated work several years ago--50 years old at the time. Took several months off to recharge...

thank you to all for your encouragement...I got a call this morning from the company which was our main competition in the local market.

I have an interview next week.

I also like the AF Corsair shot the best...slight edit with Picasa 3, reduced saturation, increased contrast - it turned out nicely I guess

Make sure you ask for more than you were making at the other job...

Sounds like they want you , so you are in the "pilots" seat...

I hope the FTX PNW sale lasts a few more weeks - I think I'll just have to make that buy based on the free demo -
