She posted a bunch of pics from inside the plane on the previous page...

Yeahhhh, and I'm sorry.. I'm just obsessed with certain aircraft, and this thing looks so good in FS2020 that my jaw still hasnt gotten off the floor.. I hope ya'll will forgive me.. Plus too, The P-61s ( all three of them ) were the first weather hunters and were regularly flown directly into severe thunderstorms. All of the planes returned to base without major issues of any kind, so, when I saw this monster typhoon heading over southern China, I simply couldnt resist,, Gods it was a beautiful storm..

Sydney Re-imagined

Sydney has a new 3d rendering freeware. Found it in the MS2020 Forums. Not perfect, but it has a great feel for a city I have visited many times. You have to add the bridge and tower seprately. No night lighting - yet. The author is continually updating. Don't need to wait around for ORBX offering at the current rate of freelance contribuitors.

Finally decided to try a portover. After a spectacular failure with the first plane I tried, the Vertigo F8F Bearcat worked wonderfully, with all instruments, gear, flaps, etc. working. Flight model is wonky as heck, though, and the looping audio issues mean I'll stick with the built-in planes for now. But it is cool to get a taste of what it'll be like to have some cool fighters in the sim! It sure looks stunning.

After hours of tinkering with the flight model I managed to get my new SR-71 project to Mach 3+ and 80,000 feet in MSFS. Framerates are awesome up here even on a 9 year old PC, smooth as butter (unlike my flying - hand flying to Mach 3 is not simple). Need to work out what we're supposed to do without the handy pop up 2D panels on aircraft where the navigation is done by the back seat.

Home from work for the first half of the day today, and being as it was very foggy outside this morning, I decided to check and see just how accurate it was portrayed in the sim around my local area (which turned out very accurate!). Even the outside air temp reading in the cockpit was disappointingly accurate - 39 degrees Fahrenheit (too early!). As my region gets into fall and winter, there's going to be envious feelings again like I had last spring, during testing, flying around tropical regions and seeing cockpit OAT readings in the 80's in live weather.

Yep! Brrrr yeah there was a frost advisory for last night. I think my garden is okay though. Yesterday I almost went up for some practice approaches but we decided not to. Today I suppose there was icing with how cold it was.

Nice pics! I saw that repainted bonanza and also like the livery you chose haha! Great minds think alike.

Some sunset screenshots last night near McClellan-Palomar Airport (really nice recently released freeware) in Carlsbad, CA, near San Marcos and Encinitas.

Thank you Ryan. Yeah, I was glad I didn't have to go out this morning. Next week it's of course going to be back in the 70's/near 80's again for us, at least by what the forecast says.

These latest Bonanza repaints are great (I like the old school look to them). I wasn't sure/too keen on the green one, but I added all of the others by the author/creator.

Some more sunset shots from last night, this time near St. Paul, MN, using live weather but with the time made later in the evening than it was. Some really cool cloud definitions, colors and contrasts.
