I've had some successes and failures porting aircraft. Here are a couple of the latter. I'll have to say I did get to know the autogen buildings intimately and they are mind blowing.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

Now lets see, that's a AH Mossie and Lanc, right ? Shot of the Mossie looks almost real.

Looking forward to the arrival of both these iconic planes in MSFS. Keep trying ! :encouragement:

(i'm sure they've offered you a hot beverage after you've knocked on their door ;-)

Hi Jan,
How have you been? I helped a bit with the Maam TBF and did some extra markings for the package. Still love that bird. :)
The Mossie is Dave Garwood's. It ports in fine but is a bit touchy on the ground, obviously. Seems very fps heavy too for some reason. The First Class Sim Lanc looks great but has a violent swing on take off. Maybe a CG issue.

Oh, man... I guess I'm going to have to figure out this porting stuff... That is absolutely beautiful. Wow.

Hi Priller,
very nice screenshots!!!
I especially like the one with the Dauntless... beautiful atmosphere in this one!!!
Cheers,

Stéph.

Hi Todd ! Nice surprise to know you are the pilot in charge of those unfortunate landings ! Hehe ( sorry, didn't recognise your tag.. ;-)

Great to see you here and to know you are obviously enjoying MSFS as much as i do. :encouragement:

Yes we had a great time with the Maam TBM/TBF, didn't we. We all thought your amazing textures were the best. You really brought life into that fat bird !

Always loved the FCS Lanc, Dave's Mossie too, very much also because of the sound of course. Sofar i haven't done any porting myself although it is tempting to see those wonderful models on the amazing MSFS podium. Rob (Cap) was almost finished with a TBF FSX conversion of our Turkey but IIRC all gauges were still 2D.
Again, great to see you here, Todd, it's been a while, huh... :ernaehrung004:

GAS Kinner Sport

open cockpit, round engine, spats, NOW we have an airplane for FS2020..err - well as soon as some minor details are addressed we will

Hey! Wood! Hot Dang! That looks exceptionally modern ! I mean the matte paint particularly seen on expensive cars. Obviously caused by the still missing MSFS materials ??.. I'd say, next to the shining and gleaming MSFS 'default' paint once applied, keep this on too. This Kinner wears her 'modern' coat particularly well ! :encouragement:

( IIRC MAAM has a Kinner Sportster amongst its collection )

Golden Age Simulations is working on bringing the Kinner Sportwing to FS2020 - I like the eggshell white semi-gloss appearance in that image too -

In this one I had selected 'Rain' for the weather on this short So Cal jump and nearly planted my pixels in a farmers field twice.
The rain effects and limitless cloud casts and lighting around sunset are just brilliant in this sim. Columns, cathedrals, hallways of clouds in all directions and this mid-spec rig of mine has no problem rendering all of it.
The flight was so real I had to park, shut it all down - and just listen to the rainfall for a minute..

Having last experienced FSX - and that was over 1 year ago - to just recently going straight into this sim I have to say ASOBO has done an incredible job. Sure there are a few issues to iron out but running all this weather, the ORBX class default scenery, these beautiful airplanes, and these
busy airfields, with the lighting and the sound improvements...it just is mind blowing.
