No, just ultra textures in the option list.

Then you might want to give that tweak a go, to get rid of that foam effect on your clouds ;)
It's just a text file in which you change a 1 to 0.
It also removes any kind of shimmering on buildings, trees or other objects.

I have changed to 0 and messed around with the Nvidia settings. Think these look better any thoughts?

Wow !!
I don't know if it's because of my NVidia settings or anything in-sim, but I do not get such a beautiful contrast in my MSFS such as yours... These first two shots of the Airbus are unbelievable (in a good way, that is). :ernaehrung004:

I'm looking at your clouds in your new screenshots and I do not notice the "foam" effect anymore.
How's your impression after that change ? Did you notice any improvements on the shimmering of buildings and such ?

Many thanks for the comments.

My focus was on the clouds to get them better, so not really noticed the buildings. I do think with the little tweaks in NVidia setting it has helped the overall look of the sim.
But will see how it goes, come the next update :pop4:

I had no idea of the heritage of this airfield nor of its importance to MS Flight simming history.
I didn't get into FS until the 2002 Pro version, but as I understand it, most versions before and including that one used Meigs as the default starting point. Mayor Daley illegally had the runway destroyed while there were still planes parked, which forced pilots to get a waiver from the FAA just to be able to leave by using the taxiway as a runway.

I came along much later with FSX so I had no idea that Meigs was the default airfield and cornerstone to the earliest versions of MS flight sims.
The video review I linked above in relation to this addon was the first Id heard of it. I like origin stories and the airport itself is ideal, so I figured others especially here in the community would like to be aware of it.

..also - the other topics in the review video might be helpful - especially to newcomers who might not be as familiar with civil aviation routines or basic to advanced concepts of flight or navigation

Yes, they went in at night and destroyed the runway before anyone knew what was happening until the next morning when it was too late.

I did a flight from Lihue to Kahului yesterday evening local time with real time/weather. It's always nice to watch the Hawaiian mountains pass by under me. Because there's a rather sizeable bump in the terrain that gets in the way of a straight in approach from the west, I used the Lanai VOR as a waypoint, then made a left turn to cut around the south end of that mountain. That also gave me a nice view of the windmill farm that runs up the southern ridge. I descended to 2000' to pass over Lanai, which turned out to be just a little tight, but I made it without incident.

Unless I missed it, this latest update finally added the islands in the bay just off of PHNL 8R/26L, but I kinda think someone didn’t really look too hard at the satellite imagery that they used for the water mask…
