• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

B-29 Raid

Bomb doors open.

Flak and searchlights a bit too close for comfort!

Bombs away . . .

Leaving fire in their wake.

QC but using my TOW Searchlights tweak. I haven't released it as no one has been able to test it and as I really had little idea of what I was doing, I didn't want to loose it upon the CFS3 world! Skins are one thing, but modifying facilities is another.

Interesting. I have ETO or rather TOW eras with whole areas of searchlights plugged into the gsls. Hopefully they will be releases as NachtPiloten and I work through different eras for release; and hopefully TOW Era 1 this Autumn covering the Blitz to the 1000 bomber raids.

There's a nice pic of R5833 and its crew at Scampton on 8 April '42, in 'Manchester Moments' by JR Bushby who is in the picture (extreme left, below) and was an air gunner with 83 Squadron. Far from Manchesters being eventually made reliable, he says that it was 'with a feeling of heartfelt relief' that he found them gone on returning from a gunnery leader's course at the end of May 1942.
