Screenshots!

Got the 2025 shaders ported into another one of my custom CFS3 installs this weekend.

So far I have it working in Jets, Korea, Solomon Islands, MAW Early War, MAW Late War, and WWI.
Looking forward to upgrading BoB, Poland, ETO 1940, ETO 1941, ETO 1943, ETO 1944, ETO 1945, Pearl Harbor, China, Wake, and Midway.
Each one takes some tuning to avoid spoiling something unique about that install, but the results are worth it.
For example, this is the only one that needed SceneryDiffuse turned down from 0.9 to 0.5 in d3d8.ini to reduce excessive contrast on the trees that look weird.

Just gave me a idea ! Have the older Ankor's shaders working in OFF BHaH/HitR. Next step up !

Awesome! How far north? I'm also curious how the daylight times work at those latitudes. Does CFS3 still do a good job?

"calm morning over Dallachy"

Wow! That far North, very impressive!!
That means we can have Banff in the right place at last! 😃
The late Jeff "BeauBrummie" Hampson would have loved this.

So excited !!! Finally got the new Ankor's shaders to run very smoothly on a stock CFS3 install. No noticeable drop in FPS ! Set to minimum standards on a old Win 7 gaming pc ! Now off to the all the installs, including the old OFF BHaH/HitR simulator. May need help Andy ,getting it to work in the old OFF. Outstanding. Like a kid in a candy shop ! A old Intel core CPU, and 8 gigs of RAM. Who would have figured it would work with such a old pc ! Hope for everyone !Shot03-30-25-07-46-27.jpg

Looking at Scotland and north so a pretty good chunk. Not sure where the map will end as there are some advantages to using a smaller map similar to cfs3Europe. So much coastline and lakes are choking the water tools for larger map.

Have not checked the time accuracies although it is clear the days get longer or shorter the further north you go.

Loving the new 2025 Ankor's shaders ! Thanks to Rene , for all the help in getting the little details sorted out ! Owe much to my dear friend, who makes my enjoyment of CFS3 so much better. Thanks to all who made this all possible ! Here's a screenshot from a old Win 7 gaming rig, many tweaks throughout the year, to this masterpiece . Nice one Scott!

Very cool. I didn't pick up on it with your Banff screenshot for some reason.

When you say it's choking the water tools, do you mean the process is actually failing, or it just takes a really long time?

update:I have not run into max theater size for water tools. I had a bad lake shapefile that was causing the tool to crash.

That's good to hear. One day I'd love to get a rundown of how you do it. I've tried following tutorials, but never got it to work. Too many projects, too little time for them.
