you can use this settings in your model.fx (shader30 folder)

or set FRO to 0.1

Getting the ETO (virgin) install set up.
I have Learned to enrich colors and modify the shine with/ Paint.net.
This Opens DDS files nicely.
I have much more reflection, and far less shine.
Thanks to the Masters for helping a hobbit learn to sort out some of this.
With the new clouds, and scenery this is really quite amazing to me. :ernaehrung004:

Even have this "Bright" P-38 looking much better,
Using Master Ankor's shader set up with the EBN program install active.
Still experimenting, and wrecking things.

Nice shots owen btw how do you combine bare metal effect with ankor owen? the only way i can use this bare metal effect is to switch off the ankor and turn the reflection option on :banghead:

Hi Weik,
I am just dancing blind here.

I am learning from all those that have been posting on this.
I have managed to have much higher reflections and much less BRIGHT Shine on these aircraft, by
dancing with the various Texture .DDS files.
I sent you the Files ( e-mail) I am using in the ETO (virgin) experiment.
And With a more detailed explanation.
I actually changed the aircraft .DDS files somewhat for this to work as I wanted..
As I am learning here. To dance with the DDS files, and M3d files.
And wreck everything as I go.
Missions no problem, all this, yea a challenge to learn. :encouragement:

These reflections are about 8 years old now, nice to see CFS-3 still has activity.

Great to see you passing through, Bear :applause:. The visual revolution in CFS3 over the past year has been shaders written by Ankor after he refined them in the OFF world. Things like bump mapping, internal cockpit shadows, better terrain lighting and shadows, reflective water, etc etc. The AvHistory aircraft look great in the new environment.

At the same time some excellent new reflector gunsights have been prepared by majormagee which can be retrofitted to many aircraft.
 
CFS2/3 will always have a special place for me. Was a lot of fun building the planes & seeing MAW etc develope. Still have some Beta CFS4 stuff on one of the hard drives, might do a search of them some day. Got a nastygram from MS when I posted two CFS4 screen shots back in the day. Was a real shame MS bailed out on it, was a major step forward.

Duplicated quite a few of the AvHistory planes as R/C aircraft. Still getting a few flights a year in the History Flight Warbirds. Coordinated a History Flight visit to the Raleigh Area with a charity fly-in our R/C club does each year. We were able to do a lot of flybys (AT-6, PT-17, P-51 B-25) of the event as the airport is about 4 miles from the R/C field. We raised just over $30K that year.

Also got to do a bucket list thing & built a replica Cobra over the past 13 months. Other then that retirement has been quiet except for the side pipes.:untroubled:
 
Glad to hear from you,Bear. A Cobra !!!! Only my favorite car in the world !!! Can't drive anymore,but if i could ,that would be at the top of bucket list. Thanks for all you've done for the MS CFS platform . Sure wish MS wouldn't have rushed CFS3 and also refuse to listen to its customers.Things would have been different. Just look at the success of the Il-2 series.
