As a minor point of constructive criticism for the new Pacific work with the current shaders, I think a higher haze density setting might be more appropriate. I think a setting of 0.6 or 0.7 or even higher might better capture the poor visibility and humidity of the tropics. The setting is found in shaders30/fog.fx at the very top of the file.

Better?

We should keep in mind that this would change depending on the mission dates. September-October is the end of the rainy season when the humidity is high in the Philippines. October-November they enter the dry season and the humidity clears out.

Looks better! It can get a lot worse too.

There's a tricky thing with rainy vs dry season.and visibility. Visibility can often be better during rainy season because the rainfall, wind, and areas of low pressure tend to clear out particles hanging in the air. But on the other hand the humidity is worse. Dry season tends to have a lot less movement in the air, and things dry out and get dusty, with nothing to clear the dust out of the air. Now that's broad brush strokes and there may be some things particular to the Philippines that may alter the general principle some.

What would be great is having the ability of the weather files to pass the haze density value to the shaders in real time as the mission loads.
