SE5A released

How is the rotary engine modelling in FSX? Will I have to steer upwards, in straight & level flight, in order to turn right, for example?

My Father in Law had a lot of pictures of the SE5. It was his favorite airplane. It always had a gloss finish and showed two prominent stress lines on its fabric along side of the fuselage, just behind the cockpit.

Well Alphasim also offers a SE5A. And I 'm wondering if these are the same or the justFlight offering althogether is a new product.

This is an exceedingly good model in every way Barry... I hope its a success for you so you will be encouraged to do more WW1 types for FSX...a Fokker DVII would go nicely with the SE5

Brilliant work! Although WWI is not a period that I normally favour for Warbirds, this one is outstanding and I just had to have it. Congratulations to all the AH team. Can't wait for the Zero!:ernae:

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. Much appreciated. I'm right with you on more of these types but decisions on WW1 will fall to our friends at JF so you'd better get lobbying!:engel016:

Excellent job on the SE5a! I'm really enjoying it.

Is there a layered paint kit? I've seen the texture folder called "paintkit" that shows the mapping but I thought I read in the product description on the Just Flight website that a layered paint kit was supplied. I can't seem to find it if it was included in the download. Could I get my hands on one?

Thanks again for the SE5a... love WW1 stuff!

Hi Mike,

Yes there is a layered paintkit, at least we did one. there should also be a paintkit model which allows you to test your work before transferring to an "official" listing. I love the old stuff too. Interestingly there is as much work in these as there is in a more modern warbird.:engel016:

Hi Baz,

Thanks for the reply. I have the test texture for checking on paints. What I don't see is the actual layered PSD paint kit. I checked all of the folders again and don't see one. I'd very much appreciate a copy of the paint kit if possible.

Thanks again,

Mike
