Sea Fury Surprise

I haven't received an e-mail yet. I still have my email from Flying Stations with download link, as well as my PayPal email receipt,
from May of 2012. I've been keeping an eye on my Inbox and Junk Mail for the last few days, but I haven't seen anything. Still, it's
possible I might have deleted in error.

If nothing shows up in the next couple of days, should I send an inquiry to Flying Stations support?

Thanks - Rob

Mine just arrived. Thanks loads for the update, and a very nice plane to begin with! - Rob

Now i have the throttle issue again.
Had it too in FSX,but don`t remember how to fix it.
Throttle axis is not recognized by my TM Warthog Throttle.
Any idea?
Thank you
Mike

Ran into an odd problem this morning. The other day after installing the new version I loaded it and went flying. All was well. This morning when I loaded it, it immediately started the tail dance, bouncing all over Las Vegas. I went into slew, lowered it to the ground, released and it started all over again. Also, as can be seen in the pic, the prop and spinner disappear immediately after it loads. In this pic, the engine is actually off.

I had exactly the same identical problem, Falcon ! Both visuals and behavior on ground.
Today after a computer reboot, all seems fine. I do not understand what happened...

Same here Daube. After closing the Sim and then restarting, all seemed fine. Pretty odd!:dizzy:

I notice that the plane seems to have an end flight state save, like the A2A Cessnas. So if I end mid flight with full throttle, then when
I load the plane again, it loads on the ground with the engine at full throttle. So like the A2A's, when I end, I make sure the throttles
are pulled back for the next flight start up.

Also, the plane uses an .xml file install. But I noticed that the SimObjects folder is packed a bit differently from other such folders in
.xml documents I've seen. Usually there is an Airplanes folder inside the SimObjects folder, and then the plane folder(s) inside the
Airplane folder. Here, there is no Airplane folder, just the plane folder and other payload folders inside the SimObject folder.

I don't know if that makes any difference, but after reading here, I decided to be pre-emptive: I created an Airplane folder inside
the SimObjects folder, moved the plane and payload folders into it, edited the .xml add-on document accordingly, and everything
works fine.

I don't know if that's any help.

I had not paid any attention to the xml files prior to this but as I look at the "LoadGauges.xml" it has this line at the beginning:

<SimGauge.Gauge id="LoadGauge" ArtDirectory="F:\Program Files (x86)\Flying Stations\Sea_Fury\panel\Fury">

I don't have an "F Drive" and the installation certainly didn't go there. I have a slightly different arrangement for my Addons. Inside the SimObjects folder I made separate folders for Military, General Aviation, Bush, Experimental and Business Jets. That way everything isn't just dumped into the Airplanes folder. So the Sea Fury, even though it was initially installed into the Airplanes folder, was eventually moved to the "Military" folder. As for RATOG (no idea what that is) and Fury Tanks, those are separate folders within the Military Folder.

Falcon,

Don't worry about that line, it's set by the gauge making utility when you're developing them so it knows where to find the artwork. P3D doesn't actually use the information but frankly I'd be more likely than not to accidentally break the gauge editing it out! The RATOG is the Rocket Assisted Take Off Gear, there's a separate model for when you jettison it after take-off.

Re the weird behaviour with the prop coming off I believe Rob is on the right tracks. To get it to mirror the real things performance vs altitude and supercharger gear at sea level it's capable of producing ~7500hp, which the engine gauge prevents by limiting how much the throttle is opened. If there's a glitch with the throttle setting there's more than enough power and torque to flip things around, I have no idea why the spinner disappears though.

Mike,

I don't have FSUIPC but I believe you can set a profile for the aircraft where FSUIPC doesn't touch the throttle setting and lets it go straight to the sim, this lets the engine gauge do it's thing.
